OVERVIEW

We are looking for detail-oriented and analytical Structural Engineers to join our Operations team in Vadodara. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing permit application packages, drafting accurate floor plans, validating design pressures, and ensuring technical compliance for construction projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Permitting & Document Preparation

  • Assemble complete permit application packages for windows, doors, and shutters on behalf of licensed contractors
  • Prepare and submit Notices of Commencement (NOCs) on behalf of contractors
  • Upload and track permit submissions through government portals
  • Review and verify product related documents to ensure all required documentation is complete before submission

Floor Plan & Design Pressure Preparation

  • Prepare floor plans with accurate opening locations using our in-house plan preparation software
  • Ensure all plans are drawn to scale and meet minimum permit submission standards
  • Review and validate design pressure values against product related documents

Drawing & Document Review

  • Read and interpret architectural floor plans, construction drawings, and product specification documents
  • Cross-check installation details and product information against the floor plans being prepared
  • Identify and flag any inconsistencies or missing information in drawings or documents before submission

Coordination & Communication

  • Flag jobs where the product’s rated design pressures do not meet the required design pressures for the project location, and escalate to the relevant team before submission

SKILLS

  • In-house plan preparation software for floor plan layout and design pressure computation
  • AutoCAD for plan markup and annotation
  • Adobe PDF tools for document compilation and redaction
  • Cloud platforms: OneDrive, Google Drive, SharePoint, Dropbox
  • Excel for permit tracking logs and cost/schedule data

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture or Architectural Drafting
  • Proficient in English – written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for plan review and annotation
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret structural drawings, product related documents, and engineering calculations
