Bankruptcy Specialist/Mail & Claims

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1
DEPARTMENT : Operations
REPORTS TO: Vice President, Bankruptcy & Probate Services  
LOCATION: Oklahoma City, OK
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Open, read and sort court documents.
Scan documents and mail documents to clients.
Handle Legal mailouts.
Assist with monitoring and processing BK and Probate Claims.
Ensure claims are successfully filed by deadline.
Assist with amending & withdrawing claims when needed.
Research legal actions.
Communicate with debtor attorney or trustee to resolve request or objections.
Handle trustee, court and debtor attorney communication.
Ensure all legal actions are addressed in a timely manner.
Contact courts for additional information in order to file a Probate claim.
Accurately prepare and mail probate claim filings to courts and interested parties.
If applicable, request correct Probate claim filing fee to include with court filings.
Determine which claims should only be filed with interested parties and not courts.
Lead continuous process improvement initiatives.
General Research.
Understand and adhere to all Company policies including but not limited to security, trade secrets and confidentiality of all information.
Other duties as assigned.

Must be available to work in office, Monday through Friday during assigned hours.
Strong attendance for this position is critical and required.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance Instructions, and procedure manuals, ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole Numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and Percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in Situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of Instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
