JOB TITLE: Sr Systems & Network Engineer

The Sr Systems & Network Engineer will participate in the delivery, implementation, and maintenance of system and network solutions to support the continuous operations of AIS and its affiliated companies.​ From design to operations, this person will be an integral part of the gathering of network requirements, development of planning and design documents, and the implementation of solutions to support company needs.​ Will be responsible for the performance and availability of server & network services including monitoring, installing, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, securing server & network equipment and facilities.​ The Sr Network and Systems Engineer will report to the Director of IT, and will be part of a team of systems and network infrastructure engineers that deliver solutions which are always available.​ Because we are a multi-national corporation operating around the clock in one place or another, he/she must also be willing to be on-call to provide support and scheduled off-hour maintenance services in a 24×7 environment as necessary.
It is required that this position understands and adheres to all Company policies including but not limited to security, trade secrets and confidentiality of all information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experience with migration from internally hosted to colocation and/or cloud services is highly desirable
Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
Experienced in Installation setup and configuration of switches and LAN devices with VLAN routing and switching.
Experienced in Configuring and installing servers and SANs.
Expertise in VMWare implementation and maintenance.
Expertise in SRA implementation and maintenance over VMWare.
Experience in working with Sonicwall Firewalls and SMA.
Experience setting up site to site and client server VPN systems.
Experience working with Microsoft 365, Amazon Web Services EC2.
Coordinate with OEM vendors like Dell, Cisco, PURE for technical updates, part replacements etc.,
Understanding of Information Security requirements and documentation.
Managing the access controls, CCTV and Firefighting systems.
Monitor network performance and integrity.
Maintain Data Center operational integrity and ensure reliability of equipment (e.g. regular maintenance and break fix support calls).
Resolve issues other tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
Mentor team members on technical issues.
Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery).
Interact with clients and attend client audits.
Resolve issues that arise from client audits.
Communicate with users when needed.
Maintain technical documentation.
Support end user laptops, desktops, hardware, and software.
Initial setup of laptops and desktops prior to turning over to service desk for final setup.
Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability.
Maintain and administer phone systems.
Monitor, maintain, and ensure facility security (e.g. monitor and maintain camera systems, issue facility access controls badges).
Physical security checks of facilities.
Travel to all U.S. offices when required.
Interact with vendors to procure hardware, software, and licenses.
Interact with accounting to approve and monitor IT related invoices.
Respond to and resolve issues found by NOC team.
Monitor and manage Backup power for Data Centers (e.g. UPS maintenance, ensure generator reliability).

Manage direct reports ensure all responsibilities are effectively and successfully completed.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Required English Ability Level Business Fluent
QUALIFICATIONS:
10 to 15 years of experience in IT, IT security and physical security.
Experience in vendor management.
Technical skills in implementing, troubleshooting repairing and maintaining servers, workstations, firewalls, networks and network equipment.
Proficient in Windows Server 20XX and Windows X
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams & SharePoint).
Strong verbal, written, communication and presentation skills; strong critical thinking and reasoning.
A self-motivated person with the ability to motivate associates.
Excellent leadership skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and project-focused.
Resourceful, proactive problem solver, possessing excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, a customer-service mindset, a positive attitude, and the ability to meet project deadlines.
Will be required to demonstrate strong skills in the areas of technology, automation, communication, innovation, problem-solving, service design, and working within a team to produce results.
EDUCATION:
Technology-related associate’s degree or 5 to 6 years of equivalent training and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write emails, speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups and clients.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals quickly and correctly.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
