JOB TITLE: Technical Data Analyst

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

External Data Integration:
- Identify and assess potential external data sources relevant to bankruptcy and financial services.
- Develop processes and scripts for securely connecting to and extracting data from various APIs, databases, and websites.
- Clean, transform, and validate external data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Design and implement data pipelines to automate data ingestion and integration with internal systems.

Reporting & Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and reporting requirements. Host and/or attend meetings with clients, and diverse group of internal technical and business stakeholders.
- Develop, design, and maintain insightful reports and dashboards using visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Analyze data trends and patterns to identify key insights and potential opportunities.
- Communicate findings effectively in written and verbal formats to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with data quality control and ensure data integrity throughout the pipeline.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in data analysis and bankruptcy law.
- Contribute to the growth and development of our data infrastructure and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1+ years of experience working with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, SQL,Python, R preferred). Strong SQL skills are required and must be demonstrated through a technical interview and evaluation exercise.

Experience integrating external data sources through APIs or other methods.

Strong understanding of financial services and bankruptcy concepts.
—
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
—
Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Effective communication and presentation skills.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write emails, speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups and clients.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals quickly and correctly.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
